How grading works at Women University, Swabi

Women University, Swabi uses an absolute grading system on a 0-4.00 scale: your percentage marks in a course are converted to a fixed grade point and then a letter grade, based on a university-wide table, not a comparison to classmates. Marks are rounded to the nearest whole percentage point first (60.4% rounds down to 60%, 49.5% rounds up to 50%).

Eight letter grades carry grade points — A, A-, B+, B, B-, C+, C and C- — with anything below 50% graded F (0 grade points). There is no D or D+ grade at this university. The exact marks-to-grade-point mapping is shown in the Grade Scale Reference on this page.

How Women University, Swabi calculates GPA and CGPA

Your GPA for a semester is the sum of each course's grade point multiplied by its credit hours, divided by the total credit hours attempted that semester. CGPA is the same calculation across all completed semesters — at the end of your first semester, CGPA equals GPA; from the second semester onward it accounts for every course taken so far. CGPA is rounded to two decimal places.

Academic probation and dropout at Women University, Swabi

A student whose semester GPA falls between 1.00 and 2.00 is promoted but placed on probation for the next semester. The number of probations allowed depends on programme length: none in a 2-semester programme, two in a 4- or 8-semester programme, and three in a 10-semester programme.

A student is dropped out of the programme if: absent for four consecutive weeks without valid reason, GPA falls below 1.00 in any semester, or GPA remains below 2.00 after using up the maximum number of probations. A dropped-out student cannot be re-admitted to the same academic programme.

Frequently asked questions

Can I save my semesters and track my CGPA at WUS?
Yes. After you calculate a semester's GPA, click "Save as semester" to add it to the built-in CGPA tracker, which then computes your cumulative GPA across every saved semester using the standard weighted formula (Σ SGPA × credits ÷ Σ credits). You can save semesters by course (full breakdown) or quick-add a past semester with just the SGPA and credit hours. Locking, renaming, and deleting saved semesters are all supported, and the tracker shows a running CGPA plus a trend arrow versus your previous semester.
How do I convert SGPA to CGPA at WUS?
Your CGPA is the credit-weighted average of every semester's SGPA. The formula is: CGPA = (SGPA₁ × credits₁ + SGPA₂ × credits₂ + … + SGPAₙ × creditsₙ) ÷ (credits₁ + credits₂ + … + creditsₙ). On this page, add each semester to the CGPA tracker (either by course or as a quick SGPA + credit-hours entry) and the calculator runs the conversion for you on every save, edit, and delete — no manual arithmetic required.
Can I add past semester GPAs without entering every course?
Yes. On the My CGPA Tracker tab, click "Add semester" and choose the quick-add option. You enter just the SGPA and the credit hours for that semester — no course-by-course breakdown required. It works as a GPA calculator with previous semesters support, or as a GPA calculator without course details when you only remember the SGPA from your transcript. Quick-added and course-by-course semesters can be mixed freely; both contribute to your CGPA using the same credit-weighted formula.
Is my CGPA tracker data sent to your servers?
No. Your saved semesters are stored locally in your browser only — nothing is transmitted to GPAWise. A "Clear all tracker data" button is always available on the tracker tab to wipe the data on demand.
Is this Women University Swabi (WUS) GPA calculator free?
Yes — GPAWise is completely free to use. There's no signup, no paywall, and your inputs stay in your browser.
What CGPA do you need to graduate from Women University, Swabi?

You need a minimum CGPA of 2.00 to graduate, along with completing the minimum required credit hours and every essential component of your scheme of studies.
