How GPA is calculated

Grade point average (GPA) is calculated as Total Quality Points Earned divided by Total Credit Hours Attempted. Grades marked “None” for quality points (W, I, L, NA, N) and grades for developmental and English as a Second Language coursework are not used in computing the GPA.

If a student repeats a course, the highest grade earned counts toward the GPA; all attempts and their resulting grades remain on the transcript.

Graduation grade requirement

Students must earn at least a C in ENGL-121 to be eligible to graduate (effective August 1, 2017). A D grade or lower will not fulfill a prerequisite requirement for some courses.
