Incomplete (INC) and Grade Not Submitted (GNS)
An Incomplete (INC) is not reflected in your GPA while it remains pending. If the coursework isn't finished within one full academic year, the INC turns into a permanent F, and only then is it reflected in your GPA.
A Grade Not Submitted (GNS) is a temporary indicator, not a grade. If it stays unresolved past the last day of classes of the following term, it becomes a permanent N/F, which is calculated as a failure in your GPA.

How Your GPA Is Calculated
Drexel computes a single, cumulative GPA that combines all of your undergraduate and graduate coursework at the university — there's no separate undergraduate-only or graduate-only GPA. It's calculated to two decimal points and is not rounded up.
All grades from an original course attempt and any repeat attempts are averaged into your cumulative GPA by default. Undergraduates may petition for a GPA adjustment so that only the first passing attempt's credits count, but only if the original grade was C- or lower, the repeat is taken from fall 2024-2025 forward, and the original attempt wasn't graded INC, W, or CR/NCR.

Academic Standing
Drexel recognizes three academic standing classifications: Good Standing, Academic Probation, and Dismissed. Standing is determined at the close of each term and takes effect the first day of the next term. Undergraduates are placed on probation when their term or cumulative GPA falls below the level set in the university's Academic Standing Policy; graduate students must maintain a minimum GPA each term, with some departments setting their own additional progress standards.

Transfer Credit and Your GPA
Only grades earned at Drexel are used to compute your Drexel GPA — transfer coursework itself isn't averaged in, though the credits can count toward your degree once evaluated for equivalency.
For graduate transfer credit specifically: at least 30 graduate term credits of any master's program must be completed at Drexel, every transferred course needs a grade of B or higher with a prior overall average of at least a B, and transfer credit isn't accepted once it's more than seven years old at the time the degree is awarded.
