TP Grading System
Your progress within a course of study is evaluated based on the Grade Point Average (GPA), a numerical value that indicates your academic achievement in the course. GPA = sum(credit units assigned to subject x subject grade point) / sum(credit units assigned to subject).

GPA Calculation Rules
Worked example: five subjects with credit units 4, 4, 4, 4, 3 (total 19) and grades A, A, B, C, D (grade points 4, 4, 3, 2, 1) give total credit points of 55; GPA = 55 / 19 = 2.89.
Semester GPA and Cumulative GPA (cGPA) are calculated at the end of the semester/year. If a student repeats a subject after failing it, the new grade replaces the previous failed grade (0 grade point), and the new grade point is used in the calculation of semester GPA and cGPA. The transcript of results shows all subjects taken, together with the grades.

Academic Standing
Results slips show one of the following: Proceed to next semester (if you have passed all subjects in the current semester); Proceed to next semester (Academic Warning) — given if you fail a core subject once and have not passed it, your cGPA is below 1.0 for two consecutive semesters, or you are in your ninth semester and have not fulfilled the graduation requirements; Removal (if you have met the removal criteria); Extended Probation (if you were removed but reinstated — you must obtain a cGPA of at least 1.0 by the end of the Extended Probation semester or pass the failed subject(s), otherwise you will be removed); Complete course of study (if you have met the stipulated course graduation requirements).
Criteria for Removal: you will be removed from your course of study if you have not fulfilled the graduation requirements within the stipulated maximum time allowed to complete the course; you have a cGPA below 1.0 for three consecutive semesters; or you have not passed a TPFun subject, a diploma core, or a required diploma option subject in two attempts.

Can I save my semesters and track my CGPA at TP?
Yes. After you calculate a semester's GPA, click "Save as semester" to add it to the built-in CGPA tracker, which then computes your cumulative GPA across every saved semester using the standard weighted formula (Σ SGPA × credits ÷ Σ credits). You can save semesters by course (full breakdown) or quick-add a past semester with just the SGPA and credit hours. Locking, renaming, and deleting saved semesters are all supported, and the tracker shows a running CGPA plus a trend arrow versus your previous semester.
How do I convert SGPA to CGPA at TP?
Your CGPA is the credit-weighted average of every semester's SGPA. The formula is: CGPA = (SGPA₁ × credits₁ + SGPA₂ × credits₂ + … + SGPAₙ × creditsₙ) ÷ (credits₁ + credits₂ + … + creditsₙ). On this page, add each semester to the CGPA tracker (either by course or as a quick SGPA + credit-hours entry) and the calculator runs the conversion for you on every save, edit, and delete — no manual arithmetic required.
Can I add past semester GPAs without entering every course?
Yes. On the My CGPA Tracker tab, click "Add semester" and choose the quick-add option. You enter just the SGPA and the credit hours for that semester — no course-by-course breakdown required. It works as a GPA calculator with previous semesters support, or as a GPA calculator without course details when you only remember the SGPA from your transcript. Quick-added and course-by-course semesters can be mixed freely; both contribute to your CGPA using the same credit-weighted formula.
Is my CGPA tracker data sent to your servers?
No. Your saved semesters are stored locally in your browser only — nothing is transmitted to GPAWise. A "Clear all tracker data" button is always available on the tracker tab to wipe the data on demand.
