Broward College GPA Calculator

S, PR, and U grades may only be assigned in courses that have received prior approval through the curriculum review process to use Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory grading.

GPA is calculated by dividing grade points earned by credits attempted. GPA for graduation and honors purposes is calculated on all college-level coursework attempted at every college the student has attended, not just Broward College.

A course may be repeated to improve a grade only if the original grade was a D or F, up to two repeat attempts per course. Repeating a course removes the prior grade from the GPA calculation only — the original grade remains on the transcript, and only the most recent attempt's grade counts toward the degree GPA. Under the State's Articulation Agreement, courses may not be repeated to change GPA after an associate degree has already been awarded.

Each course is limited to three total attempts (original grade, repeats, withdrawals, and audits declared after the drop/add period); a fourth attempt requires a successful petition to the Academic Standards Committee for major extenuating circumstances.

A "D" grade may not fulfill graduation requirements for certain programs.
