Non-GPA Grades and the Incomplete Policy
Several grade designations do not factor into a student's Bellevue College GPA: Satisfactory (S), Unsatisfactory (U), Credit (CR), No Credit (NC), Withdrawal (W), Audit (N), Incomplete (I), and Academic Renewal (X). Unsatisfactory and No Credit grades are treated as an F for financial aid purposes even though they are excluded from the GPA.
An Incomplete (I) is issued at the instructor's discretion, and only if the student has completed at least 85 percent of the required coursework and holds a grade of C or better at the time it is issued.

Transfer-In Grade Conversion
When evaluating transfer credit, Bellevue College converts an external institution's decimal grade point average to a BC letter grade, rounding the transfer-in decimal grade to the nearest tenth: 3.7-3.9 converts to A-, 3.3-3.6 to B+, 3.0-3.2 to B, 2.7-2.9 to B-, 2.3-2.6 to C+, 2.0-2.2 to C, 1.7-1.9 to C-, 1.3-1.6 to D+, and 1.0-1.2 to D. The college does not transfer in grades below a D.
