How grading works at Nazareth University
Nazareth University grades undergraduates on a 4.0 scale with 12 letter grades: A (4.0), A- (3.7), B+ (3.3), B (3.0), B- (2.7), C+ (2.3), C (2.0), C- (1.7), D+ (1.3), D (1.0), D- (0.7), and F (0.0).
There is no A+ — A itself, at 4.0, is the top of the scale. B, C, and D all carry a full plus/minus range.

How your GPA is calculated at Nazareth University
Your semester GPA and cumulative GPA are both derived by dividing the number of credit hours attempted into the number of grade points earned. Grades transferred in from another institution are never included in your Nazareth GPA.
Not counted toward your GPA: W (Withdrawn), S/U (Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory), AU (Audit), IP (In Progress), NR (Not Reported), and I (Incomplete) — none of these carry a grade-point value.
If you repeat a course, the original grade stays on your transcript, but only the second (repeat) grade counts toward your GPA.
