How GPA Is Calculated
Two GPA figures are calculated: Graduation GPA (GRAD-GPA), based on college-level (non-remedial) coursework only, and Cumulative GPA (CUM-GPA), calculated the same way but also including pre-college (remedial) coursework.
For repeated courses, only the most recent attempt counts toward GPA: in Allowed Repeatable Courses (ARC), only the last attempt within the allowable repeat maximum is included; for other repeated courses (a student may repeat a course after earning a D or F, or once after earning a C or better), only the last grade earned is included. Earlier attempts still appear on the transcript.

Students must maintain a Cumulative GPA (CUM-GPA) of 2.0 or higher to remain in good Academic Standing.

Graduation Requirements
To graduate from any credit degree or certificate program, students must hold a Graduation GPA (GRAD-GPA) of 2.0 or higher and earn a grade of C or better in all courses used to satisfy core curriculum and/or general education requirements. Elective courses with a final grade of D may still count toward graduation.
