Cosumnes River College (CRC) GPA Calculator

CRC grades on a 4.0 scale with five letter grades carrying grade points per unit: A (4), B (3), C (2), D (1), and F (0). CRC does not use plus or minus grades — no A+, A-, B+, or any other +/- variant appears anywhere in the catalog.

Pass (P) and No Pass (NP) are used instead of a letter grade when a student elects Pass/No Pass evaluation for an eligible course; Incomplete (I), Withdrawal (W), and Excused Withdrawal (EW) are also used but none of these five carry a grade-point value.

Your grade point average is total grade points earned divided by total units attempted with a letter grade. Only A, B, C, D, and F carry grade points and count toward your GPA.

P (Pass), NP (No Pass), I (Incomplete), W (Withdrawal), and EW (Excused Withdrawal) are all explicitly not computed in GPA. A student may petition for Academic Renewal to have substandard grades (D, F, or NP) excluded from the GPA calculation once at least 12 consecutive months have passed and at least 12 semester units with a grade of C, Pass, or Credit (or better) have since been completed at a regionally accredited college; the discounted coursework remains visible on the transcript but is permanently removed from the GPA.

You merit good standing once you've completed 12 or more semester units, earned a cumulative 2.0 GPA on the 4.0 scale, and completed more than 50 percent of all enrolled units. Students in good standing are limited to 18 units per semester, though a petition to a counselor can raise that cap in exceptional cases.

Students enrolled in 12 or more units in a semester with a GPA of 3.0 or higher earn honors for that semester on their transcript; a GPA of 3.5 or higher earns highest honors, with an email invitation to join Phi Theta Kappa. The same 3.0 / 3.5 thresholds apply to graduation with honors and highest honors.
