Dallas Baptist University (DBU) GPA Calculator

Several notations appear on a Dallas Baptist University transcript without a grade point value and are not counted in the GPA: W (Withdrew), AU (Audit, 75% or more attendance), X (Audit, less than 75% attendance), HO (Hold), I (Incomplete), CR (Credit), and NC (No Credit).

An Incomplete ("I") must be resolved within 30 calendar days before the end of the following long semester or it automatically converts to an "F." A student cannot participate in commencement or graduate while an "I" is outstanding.

Each course's grade point value is multiplied by its credit hours; those totals are summed and divided by the credit hours attempted to produce the GPA. The cumulative GPA divides total grade points earned in all DBU coursework by total credit hours attempted, and is not rounded past the 3rd decimal place.

The minimum satisfactory cumulative GPA is 2.00, which DBU also requires as the minimum institutional, major, and minor GPA.

When a course is repeated, only the last attempt counts toward the cumulative GPA — earlier attempts remain on the transcript but are excluded from the average. A student who earns an "F" in a course required for their degree must retake and pass it within 12 months.

A minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.0 is required to graduate with an undergraduate degree at Dallas Baptist University.
