How GPA Is Calculated
The grade point average (GPA) is computed by dividing the total number of quality points earned at Benedictine University by the total number of credit hours attempted at Benedictine University. Grades of I, IE, W, P, AUD, and IP are not calculated in the academic GPA.

Satisfactory Academic Standing
Satisfactory academic standing for undergraduate students requires a 2.000 cumulative GPA, determined at the end of each semester. A student who falls below this threshold is placed on academic probation for the following semester; a student who fails to reach satisfactory standing by the end of the probationary period is dismissed for poor scholarship, with the option to petition the Committee on Academic Standing for a one-semester reinstatement.
