Grading System
UMKC uses a plus/minus grading scale and grade-point system in effect for all undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs, in use since the 1993 Fall Semester. The grade of A+ is awarded only to students in the School of Law. A grade of WF (Withdrew Failing) applies to Graduate/Professional programs only. Since 1985, all grades earned in repeated courses count toward the GPA, including earlier attempts. Beginning Fall 2015, grades in MATH 100 are not calculated in the cumulative GPA.

GPA Calculation
Undergraduate students must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA in their University of Missouri coursework; academic units may impose additional grade-point requirements. The GPA is calculated by dividing total grade points earned in courses on any University of Missouri campus by the total graded semester hours attempted. Grades earned under the credit/no credit option, and grades of S, P, I, or AT, are not included in the GPA calculation.
