Special grade codes and GPA treatment
Beyond the standard A–F letter scale, St. Petersburg College applies specific GPA treatment to several special grade codes:
- WF (Withdrawal after the "W" period) is punitive and carries the same GPA impact as a grade of F.
- WR (Administrative Withdrawal) has no impact on the student's GPA.
- P (Passing, used for select credit-only options such as physical education activity courses, accelerated-credit mechanisms, and named Physical Therapist Assistant courses) is not used in GPA calculations.
- I (Incomplete) requires a signed written agreement and at least half the coursework completed at passing quality; if unresolved it reverts at the end of the following Spring or Fall semester to the grade recorded in the Change of Grade survey or the outcome specified in the signed Incomplete Grade Contract.
