Repeating Courses
Students may repeat a course previously taken at Belmont to improve the grade, but a course may not be repeated more than once — except an F, which may be repeated an unlimited number of times. The most recent grade posts to the transcript as the officially recognized grade unless it is lower than the first attempt; the original grade remains on the transcript but is not figured into the cumulative grade average. All repeats must be taken at Belmont — a grade transferred in from another institution cannot be removed by repeating the course at Belmont.
