How grading works at UAF
The University of Agriculture, Faisalabad uses an absolute, percentage-based grading system on a 0.00–4.00 scale — your raw percentage in each course maps directly to a fixed letter grade, not to your standing among classmates.
UAF's official grade set is just five letters — A, B, C, D and F — with no A−, B+, B−, C+ or D+ intermediate grades. The minimum passing grade is D, which requires at least 40% in a course; anything below 40% is an F. The full letter-to-percentage-to-grade-point table is shown in the Grade Scale Reference on this page.

How UAF calculates your grade point and course marks
Your grade point in each course comes from the percentage of marks you scored in that course specifically, run through UAF's conversion table — not from your percentage of total marks across all courses.
Within a course, marks are split as 30% midterm, 10% quizzes/assignments/term papers, and 60% final examination, with each credit hour worth 20 marks. A component mark that ends in 0.5 or above is rounded up (e.g. 14.5 rounds to 15).
You may repeat a course once, in a regular or summer session, if you scored the lowest passing grade (D) in it; the improved grade replaces the earlier D (or an F from a prior semester) for CGPA purposes, though the original grade still appears on your transcript.

Minimum CGPA to continue your studies at UAF
At the end of each academic year (Winter and Spring semesters plus the following Summer session), a UAF student must hold a CGPA of at least 1.50 throughout the study period to remain enrolled. Falling short means being declared ceased from the University's rolls without further notice.
A student ceased on these grounds may seek fresh admission to any degree programme once during the minimum study period, on merit and subject to eligibility — but not after the minimum duration of that degree programme has already been exhausted.

Minimum CGPA to graduate from UAF
To be awarded an undergraduate degree from UAF, you need a minimum CGPA of 2.50, on top of completing your programme's other requirements. This is a higher bar than the 1.50 CGPA needed merely to continue enrolment — it applies specifically to earning the degree itself.
Per course, the pass floor is 40% in Theory and 40% in Practical, counted separately — falling below 40% in either component results in a fail for that component.
