Grading System
Stockton University permits two systems of grading: standard letter grading or Pass/No Credit, set per course at the discretion of the instructor or program.
Non-grade transcript notations include AU (audit), W (withdrawal), WE (excused withdrawal), I (incomplete), IP (in progress), and X (registrar placeholder) — none of these carry grade points.
Pass/No Credit is subject to several conditions: a maximum of one course per semester may be taken P/NC, students must have earned 12 credits before becoming eligible, students on academic probation may not use P/NC, and no more than 10 percent of Stockton credits applied toward graduation may be taken in P/NC mode.

How GPA Is Calculated
GPA is computed by multiplying each course's credit hours by its grade points to get quality points, then dividing total quality points by total quality hours (graded credits). Courses graded Pass/No Credit are not factored into GPA, and hours from withdrawals (W) or incompletes (I) are not counted as quality hours until a permanent grade is recorded.

Academic Standing
A cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 is required to remain in good academic standing, avoid academic probation, and to receive a degree.
