How your GPA is calculated
GPA equals total quality points earned divided by total credits attempted, where quality points equal a course's grade-point value multiplied by its credits.
Several grades do not count toward GPA: audited courses (AUD), incomplete work before it lapses (INC), no-credit (NC), non-credit or proficiency-exam passing grades (P), pending (PEN), unmet remedial proficiency (R), transfer credit (CR, CRW), and withdrawals (W, WD, WN, WU) are all excluded. A grade of FIN, an unresolved INC that lapsed without being completed, is computed into the GPA as an F, worth 0.00.
