Academic Probation and Suspension
Minimum satisfactory academic progress at EICC is a cumulative 2.0 GPA. If your GPA falls below 2.0, you may be placed on academic probation and will work with an academic advisor to develop a plan of action, which may include a restriction on credit hours and additional developmental requirements.
Full-time students (after the add/drop period) must successfully complete at least 8 credit hours; students enrolled for 6-11 credit hours must successfully complete at least 6 credit hours, or may be placed on academic probation.
If you don't achieve the minimum standards by the end of a probationary term, EICC may recommend additional corrective steps or academic suspension. After a one-term absence for suspension (not including summer session), you may be readmitted on probation.

Academic Honors
Each term, EICC recognizes outstanding academic success: complete 6 or more credit hours in a term with a 4.0 GPA to make the President's List, or with a 3.5 GPA or better to make the Dean's List. Incomplete or blank grades disqualify a student from either list.
Honor Graduates: earn a cumulative 3.5 GPA in all coursework required for graduation to receive honors.
