Non-GPA Grade Notations
Several grade codes carry no quality points and are not counted in the GPA: I (Incomplete), W (withdrawal from a class), WD (withdrawal from all classes in a semester), P/NP (Pass/No Pass, equivalent to a grade of D-or-higher / F respectively), R (course extending over more than one semester), AD (successful audit), NG (unsuccessful audit), and NOG (non-graded course). An Incomplete not resolved by the university's deadline is converted to F by the Registrar.

How Your GPA Is Calculated
Undergraduate cumulative GPA is computed by dividing the number of quality points earned by the number of credit-hours completed. Excluded from this calculation: transfer credit, credit earned by examination (AP, IB, proficiency, etc.), and courses graded Pass/No Pass.
