Repeated Courses and Non-Counted Grades
Courses may be repeated for grade improvement; only the highest grade earned counts toward the cumulative GPA, though every attempt remains on the permanent academic record. Grades of "S," "U," "CR," "W," "EW," "AU," "X," "I," and "P" do not affect the grade point average.

Academic Standing
Weatherford College calculates academic standing each fall, spring, and summer term. Good Academic Standing requires a cumulative GPA of 2.00 or greater and a term GPA of 2.00 or greater.
A student whose GPA falls below this standard is placed on Scholastic Probation for the next enrolled term, with advisor-assisted enrollment and an individual academic plan. A student on probation whose cumulative GPA remains below 2.0 and who also fails to maintain a 2.0 term GPA is placed on Academic Suspension for the next term; continued shortfalls lead to Academic Suspension II and, ultimately, Academic Dismissal (noted on the transcript), with future enrollment requiring approval from the Executive Vice President of Academic Services or designee.
