How GPA Is Calculated
Semester GPA is calculated by dividing the total grade points earned in a semester by the total number of units studied that semester (grade points for a course = units × the course's GPA value).
Cumulative GPA is calculated by dividing the total grade points earned in all courses by the total number of units studied since the student joined the university.

Academic Ultimatum (Probation) Policy
A student receives an academic ultimatum when cumulative GPA falls below 2.00 out of 5.00 (2.75 out of 5.00 for the College of Engineering).
- Monthly stipend is suspended until cumulative GPA rises above 2.00.
- A third consecutive academic ultimatum results in dismissal from the university.
- A student cannot transfer to another specialization after the third ultimatum.
- A student cannot earn first honors at graduation after receiving the first ultimatum.

Graduation Honors
Second honors: cumulative GPA between 4.25 and 4.75. First honors: cumulative GPA between 4.75 and 5.00.
To qualify for either honor, a student must not have failed any course (at IMAMU or another university), must have completed the graduation requirements within the average of the minimum and maximum study periods, and must have studied at least 60% of the graduation requirements at IMAMU. A student who has received an academic ultimatum is ineligible for first honors.
