California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSU DH) GPA Calculator

Coursework at CSU Dominguez Hills is graded on the standard A–F letter scale with plus/minus modifiers (A, A-, B+, B, B-, C+, C, C-, D+, D, F). CSU Dominguez Hills does not award an A+ or a D- — A is the highest available grade and D is the lowest passing grade above F.

Certain courses may instead be graded Credit/No Credit (CR/NC), which carries no grade-point value and does not affect the GPA.

The grade point average at CSU Dominguez Hills is computed on a 4-point scale. Total grade points are calculated by multiplying the grade points associated with each grade by the number of units for that class, then the GPA is computed by dividing the total grade points earned by the total units attempted.

"CR/NC" grades carry no grade-point value and are not calculated in the GPA. "IC" (Incomplete Charged) and "WU" (Withdrawal Unauthorized) are both counted as failing grades — equivalent to "F" — in the GPA and progress-point computations, even though they are not letter grades.

Undergraduate students may use Repeat and Cancel for courses taken and repeated at CSU Dominguez Hills: the subsequent grade is substituted for the earlier one when computing units attempted and GPA, and the earlier grade remains on the record but is annotated as discounted from GPA calculations. Repeat and Cancel may be used for no more than 16 semester units during the entire undergraduate degree program, and is not available to graduate, post-baccalaureate, or exploring graduate students.

Undergraduate students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 in all college coursework, in all CSU Dominguez Hills coursework, and in their declared major(s) and minor. Students in exploring postbaccalaureate and credential status must maintain a GPA of 2.5. Master's degree students must maintain a GPA of 3.0 in the degree program and in all coursework (lower division, upper division, and graduate) taken concurrently with the program.

Undergraduate students must be in good academic standing with an overall GPA of 2.0 or above, and a GPA of 2.0 in all courses used to fulfill degree requirements. Master's degree students must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or above, and a GPA of 3.0 in all courses used to fulfill degree requirements.
