Grading System at OSU-OKC
Alongside the standard letter grades, OSU-OKC's catalog defines several notations that do not affect the GPA: I (Incomplete), N (No Grade, temporary), P (Passing, pass/fail courses), CBE-P (Credit by Exam – Pass), DEV-[GRADE] (Developmental course), PA-[GRADE] (Performance/Activity course), W (Drop/Withdrawal), AU (Audit), and AW (Administrative Withdrawal).
Two grades, AH (Excellent with honors) and BH (Good with honors), are awarded in place of an A or B when a student completes an approved Honors Contract alongside the course; they carry the same grade points as A and B respectively. OSU-OKC does not use plus/minus grading (no A+, A-, B+, etc.) at any level.

GPA Calculation and Repeat/Forgiveness Rules
GPA is calculated by dividing total grade points earned by total hours attempted; grades of I, P, CBE-P, W, AW, AU, and N do not affect the GPA.
Students may repeat a course up to four attempts to earn a higher grade; only the highest grade of the four attempts counts toward the GPA, though all attempts remain on the transcript.
OSU-OKC also offers three forgiveness mechanisms under Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education (OSRHE) policy: Academic Reprieve (excludes one or two consecutive semesters from the cumulative GPA under specific conditions), and Academic Renewal (excludes courses completed before a specified date, once at least three years have elapsed and prior conditions are met).

Academic Standing, Probation, and Suspension
Students must maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA throughout their enrollment. Students with fewer than 30 credit hours and a GPA between 1.7 and 2.0 are placed on academic notice. Students with 30 or more credit hours and a GPA below 2.0 are placed on academic probation and must earn a 2.00 semester GPA (excluding activity/developmental courses) the following semester to continue.
A student on probation is suspended after earning a semester GPA below 2.00 in regularly graded coursework. Suspended students may be readmitted only once, after at least one regular semester has passed, or may petition for immediate reinstatement with supporting documentation.

Honor Rolls and Graduation Honors
Undergraduates with a 4.00 semester GPA (excluding developmental courses) are placed on the President's Honor Roll; those with a 3.00 or higher semester GPA and no grade below C are placed on the Vice President's List.
Latin honors recognition at Commencement is based on a student's current overall GPA at the time of the ceremony: Summa cum laude for 3.90–4.00, Magna cum laude for 3.70–3.79, and Cum laude at a lower band (exact published floor not clearly legible in the source's table layout). Graduates who earn 15 hours of honors credit at OSU-OKC with a grade of A or B are eligible for recognition as an "Honors Program Graduate."
